EMMANUEL
LENDENMANN
Born in 1985 in Montreal, Emmanuel Lendenmann grew up in Switzerland. At a young age, he discovered photography and began to explore light, which would never leave him. He then became familiar with iron through an apprenticeship as a polymechanic. During a three-year tour of Europe, he perfected the art of forging and opened up his approach of the light through sculpture.
In parallel to his work as a sculptor, for which he met with undeniable success, he became interested in painting while maintaining his work with lights and shadows. He uses black as his only colour, which he handles with great depth and plays with the effects of relief to surprise and then bewitch the viewer. He immerses himself in the physical phenomena present in the universe and on Earth to offer us a moment out of time...
Since 2017 he has exhibited in several galleries, museums and foundations. (Waddilove & Art, Museum of Morat, acquisition fund of the State of Fribourg...).
Technique: acrylic on canvas
