
VANBINH
VanBinh is a French contemporary artist based in Limoux. For over 25 years, he has gained international recognition through the sale of his works, artistic performances and the creation of monumental works.
Working in clay, steel, bronze and paint, he masters a wide range of techniques and materials, giving him creative freedom. From “tiny sculptures” to artworks over 10 meters tall, VanBinh is used to innovating and working on unusual, made-to-measure projects.
With his new exhibition “Liberté Chérie”, inaugurated on September 21, 2024 at the Centre d'Art de Bram (11), the artist revolutionizes the art of calligraphy by unveiling a monumental work visible in 3D. This unprecedented artistic performance, celebrating the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, took 3 years to complete. Comprising 1,722 unique works measuring 100x70cm (for a total dimension of 1.2km), this creation, considered to be one of the longest calligraphies in the world, invites the viewer on an unprecedented journey to the heart of writing and history.
